Central Oahu

Situated between the Koolau Range and the Waianae Mountains is the valley region of Central Oahu. Central Oahu is generally considered to include Moanalua Valley, Aiea, Waipahu, Pearl City, Mililani, and Wahiawa. Together these sub-areas form a patchwork of old towns and new residential developments, military bases, farms, ranches, and shopping malls, and historic sites.

Many of the best and most affordable single family houses, townhouses, and condominiums on the island are located in Central Oahu.

The average price for a single family house is approximately 600K, although it varies significantly based on each neighborhood. Condominiums vary in average price as well based on amenities, however the average price for a two-bedroom unit is approximately $400K. Townhouses are also in demand and typically cost between $500K-$600K.

 

People and Lifestyle

Residents of Central Oahu enjoy the region's unique character and conveniences. Family owned restaurants and businesses are plentiful, as are recreational facilities, boutiques, scenic points, and parks. Central Oahu is within five minutes of Pearlridge Center - the largest indoor shopping mall in Hawaii, has excellent youth soccer programs, and is home to popular Central Oahu Regional Park.

 

Transportation

Central Oahu is between fifteen and thirty minutes out of downtown Honolulu.
