The average price of a Kaimuki house for sale is 1.7M with houses on top of Wilhelmina Rise and on Maunalani Heights being the most expensive. Many houses on Wilhelmina Rise and Manualani Heights offer fantastic views of Diamond Head.

 

People and Lifestyle

Kaimuki is an eclectic, historic, and peaceful neighborhood. Boutique restaurants, cafes, stores, and numerous schools line the main Waialae Avenue and one of Oahu's most desirable nursing homes is perched atop Wilhelmina Rise on Maunalani Heights. The City of Honolulu recently began a tree well beautification project along Waialae Avenue, which my family and I inspired through privately planting and maintaining tree well gardens on Waialae Avenue since 2007.

 

Transportation

Kaimuki is extremely convenient to most of Honolulu and is minutes away from beautiful beaches and the Kahala Mall. With minimal traffic, it takes ten minutes to arrive in downtown Honolulu.

Neighboring Kaimuki is Palolo Valley, commonly referred to as simply Palolo. Palolo is less than a mile from Diamond Head and four miles east of downtown Honolulu, making it very a convenient location. Palolo is made up of mostly single family houses. There is an agricultural area on the mountain side of the valley and Ka’au Crater, an extinct volcano, lies at the back of the valley.
